Exterior upgrades to Buildings 9 and 10 at Charles E. Bennet Elementary School to provide uniform appearance with the new classroom wings.  Change Orders are initiated by the Contractor, Architect/Engineer or Owner, and may increase or decrease the scope of the project as defined by the plans and specifications.  Once a Change Order is initiated, review/evaluation is undertaken to determine the merit and/or requirement of the Change Order.  Change Orders are reviewed by the Architect/Engineer and staff prior to submission to the School Board.  Change Orders affect the scope of the project (see attached summary) and are required to be School Board approved by State Requirements for Educational Facilities and Florida Statutes.  Contractor:  M M Parrish Construction Company; Architect:  Bhide & Hall Architects, P.A.

Approve the Change Order.

If approved, this Change Order will decrease the contract amount by $162,660.00.  The Substantial Completion date is August 8, 2008.  Architect fees will increase by $10,243.80 as a result of this Change Order.
